I had the opportunity to create a special chair for a very special couple as a gift for their wedding. They were quite surprised when they unwrapped the package which was covered in tulle, tissue and sparkles.

I knew that they live in Santa Monica, California, so the beach, the pier and the mountains would be featured on the front of the chair. I even threw in the highway and HOLLYWOOD signs for fun.

On the back of the chair, I painted romantic images of them from photos I sourced from their wedding website. An image of the proposal was included, as well as pictures of them hiking in the California mountains--one of their favorite pastimes. I included the icons of the California trees--redwood, Joshua tree and palm--which they saw on their treks.

I had so much fun commemorating this couple, and I know they were thrilled to receive it.
